Does this mean the end of local multi-unit owners renting to students? No, but they now gotta be careful how many people they let live in their units. Will they? Sorta doubt it. It's all about money - screw the pesky laws.
Does that mean apartments rentals to non-students (locals) will be given priority? No. Wusta's slumlords rent to those willing and able to pay the exorbitant rents, i.e. students.
Think the rental markets around Clark, WPI, HC have been impacted? Sorta doubt it.
