Oh no, it’s another of those stupid reports. Aw, come on folks, this is good stuff. Dude ain’t you like got some juicy stuff?
Well ya know, that’s the attitude that got us in this mess in the first place – not watching the money flow in political campaigns. The truism still holds - money buys influence.
So what happened to D4's Barbara Haller? Lose her mojo? Lost her focus - too busy with that chicken coop ordinance. Or, after years of ignoring D4's real constituency…
Thankfully the winds in Main South have changed – the whites, or pinkies as we prefer to call them, are losing ground; the real constituency finally recognized the fact that a hippie-era white woman, regardless of her purported politics, isn’t always thinking of their best interests. For example, look at where Haller’s donations came from - lots of businesses vying for her attention. Maybe the taint got to the voters.
D4 winner Sarai Rivera, on the other hand, drew donations not only from Hispanics but from Worcester’s liberal fringe (Haller's' one-time basis) including our blogging buddy, Jim May aka ElmParkBlogger. And shiver-me-freaking-timbers folks, even local Tea Partier Bill Randell too. Think he’s tryin to buy influence or did his conscience get the better of him after years of milking the disenfranchised?
So what’s gonna happen to the $6,040.46 leftover from the Haller's campaign? Shouldn’t she like give it back? Heard she’s thinking about building a memorial to herself in Main South. Instead, why not donate the money to charity?
Ever wonder what happened to Gabe Rollin's donations? Since he never made it into the finals, shouldn’t he like give back the money? We posted that question on his blog a few times, but he just deleted them.
Geez… politicians and wanna-be’s - no scruples. It really is about the money ain’t it?
Whatever happened to the moral fiber of this country?
