Worcester Consortium And Grant Money

Imagine having an endowment of $1,181,634,543 (consortium's members total endowments in 2010) and hitting up the government for $2,896,117 of pocket change, feigning the need  to expand Worcester's college's reputations.

It happens all the time. Every year. Ask Holy Cross, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Clark University, Worcester State how much they pocket in federal and state grants each year.

When the little folks want welfare they endure a comprehensive needs test. Treated like criminals.

Want a city or state apartment, gotta jump thru hoops to get one. Ask Ray Marino, Executive Director of the Worcester Housing Authority, what he does to those folks to assure they're not abusing the system. Spies on em. Lots of that goin round.

What about a needs test for Worcester's educational non-profits? How about all non-profits.
