Brendan Melican's found the spotlight again - council candidates at the Dive Bar on Green St.
This year he's MC’ing the circus with Gary “what a nice guy” Rosen. So I ask, what can he, or anyone, add to this election circus that’ll enhance an apathetic population’s understanding of issues and candidates?
No one is asking hard questions. Will he? Will it be the same ole same ole? I think so - validating my opinion regarding the abilities of Wusta's entrenched political cadre.
The only thing new are the faces; elbowing for the spotlight and spewing adolescent slogans. What is the public to think? Oh God, please not that again? I bet, if I were to dig out the local political pap from the 2007 and 2005 election seasons and replay his Brendan's Green Street 2007 performance, we’ll see that nothing has changed. So why waste your time Brendan Melican? What value do you add? What’s the bottom line for the public?
Nowadays, very little surprises me about the goings-on in Wusta. The banality of small town living, unbeknownst to its inhabitants, has taken a toll on their perception. Their small minds (which Brendan Melican so often has pointed out) and mine, being less than a pinhead (so I know of what I speak), can’t discern fact from fiction, and substantiated by the banal ramblings that pervade the local blogosphere and the skewed propaganda from our local news sources. Oh woe is us.
I almost failed to mention this interesting tidbit. The Worcester Regional Research Bureau has the T&G's Dianne Williamson on their forum. Yes Williamson and the WRRB! Oh woe is us.
We want Brendan! Brendan! Brendan! Brendan!
