Downtown Worcester - Last One Out Turn Off The Lights

Interesting article in the T&G yesterday about the Regional Chamber of Commerce: Chamber of Commerce finances tenuous.

Looking at the graph from the article - not a pretty picture. Wanna bet that salaries make up +60% of revenues. Geez... gotta love them NPO's.

Here's something else of interest. The WRRB shutdown its 319 Main St. office. An omen of things to come? A no confidence vote on downtown Wusta? Looks like it. Where'd they go? They moved to 500 Salisbury St. - Assumption College. Ah, nothing like the halls of academia to...

BTW, on May 2nd the WRRB is presenting its latest report. Ironically entitled: Downtown Revitalization - What Works. They should know eh?

And dare we mention. Founding member of the Worcester Citizens for Business and former head honcho of the Chandler St. Business Association, Bill Randell is not a member of the WRCC. The other WCB founding members Tony Ecomomou and Beth Proko are. But not Bill Randell.
Um... a local businessman (who lives in Holden, not Wusta mind you) who has no commitment to Worcester. Ironic?

Welcome to Wusta!
