Telegram.com Webstats... Interesting

So how's the Telegram.com doin? If you believe the stats coming outta Quantcast - pretty decent in fact. Eat your heart out WOMAG.

Take a close look at the graph. Since the Paywall kicked in last September, visits have been climbing steadily, even surpassing pre-Paywall levels. I don’t get it. There’s an interesting inverse relationship with the People versus Visits. Less people, more visits. Um...

I was thinking that the locals would be annoyed by the daily page view limits (pretty easy to get around, depending on your browser) and dump the T&G.

Not surprisingly the number of comments are considerably below the pre-paywall levels. Have the locals turned their collective backs on the T&G? Well sorta, at least when it comes to putting their money where their mouth is.

I wonder how the T&G is doing financially since the Paywall? Racking in the bucks maybe? Really doubt it. No one around here ever got rich underestimating the frugality of the locals. Come on, honestly who in their right mind would pay for the Telegram? Not this fool.

Now for the good stuff. Interesting are Quantcast’s demographics for the Telegram.com readers. The one that sticks out is reader's income – lotta 100k earners. Definitely City Hall employees eh?

Oh, and there’s an above average number of Graduate degrees perusing the T&G. Now sumptin really ain't right.
