"Newly obtained Justice Department data show that reports of sexual assaults on college campuses rarely lead to serious sanctions. Ten New England universities and colleges provided the data as part of a campus grant program overseen by the Justice Department’s Office of Violence Against Women."
"Schools are not specifically required to tell local police about sexual assaults reported on campus; that decision is left to the victims."
The real culprits are the college administrations, helped by our less than honorable politicians who won't do anything about this legal discrepancy. Are you aware how rampant the "cover up" of crimes on college campuses are? Hidden from the public in the interest of protecting their reputations. Remember its all about money. So, do you have a right to know what goes on at Clark University or Holy Cross? They think you don't.
Imagine how much dirt the local colleges sweep under the rug. Does anyone believe that heinous crimes on Worcester campuses are non-existent? Are those crime stats they publish factual? It's a news story no Worcester news outlet would think of touching.
So watch out. There's now a law in MA against sending obscene email and text messages to minors. That took Boston a few weeks to decide.
