Answer: no. More than likely you will loose.
We often wondered what Rosalie Tirella promised candidates in return for their money? We talked to several candidates. She promised them votes.
Several candidates told us that in the 2011 elections season Rosalie Tirella stated that Incity Times has a readership of 5,000 and blog visitors of several thousand a month. Funny thing, she was printing only a thousand issues month and had monthly blog visitors in the low hundreds.
In a recent post (The Relevance of Being Irrelevant) we dealt with Tirellas’ irrelevance in local politics. In the city council elections between 2006 and 2011 the percent of city council candidates who bought ads over 4 election cycles was just 14%. That’s makes her pretty freaking irrelevant in her hometown. What politician in their right mind would associate with Rosalie Tirella? Barbara Haller did and look what happened to her.
Lets look at county level races. How many candidates did Incity Times lure? Of the 34 county level races between 2006 and 2011, of the 53 candidacies only 8 candidacies (Fresolo and Pedone in four races) paid into the Incity Times propaganda machine. Just 15%.
This is interesting. How about petitions submitted by Rosalie Tirella to the Worcester city council. Rosalie Tirella has often boasted of affecting local legislation. But did she really? No freaking way. The only time she goes near city hall is to drop off a bundle of Incity Times.
We took a look at Worcester city council records and found just 2 petitions with her name on them. In 2012, banning exotic animals for entertainment purposes sponsored by Konnie Lukes. And a request to convert an intersection to a 4-way stop sponsored by Barbara Haller. Now does that sound like a shaker & mover in local politics? An activist? Hardly.
Fact, for all her boasting about human rights etc. Rosalie Tirella never submitted a petition pertaining to civil rights, housing, or schools. Nada.
Think for sec. How many times have you seen Rosalie Tirella storm the council chambers speaking-out on behalf of Worcester's little people, the people she claims to represent? Answer: Never.
So how relevant is Rosalie Tirella?
