Philip M. Stone - Worcester Business Journal

You have got to read this guy.

Reminds one of Bill Randell and his less than astute essays about Worcester Regional Airport posts on GoLocalWorcester.

Give someone a public forum and watch them make an ass of themself.

Mr. Stone, a bankruptcy lawyer whose office is downtown, thinks that to improve Worcester's downtown ambiance  wailing ambulances (incessant stream he sez) should be diverted from downtown Worcester. Think about that for a sec.

A wailing ambulance, a matter of life and death, divert it from Main St. Um... that could be fatal for someone. Opps!

Phil's crack legal mind at work eh? Something like that could be bad for business, namely the ambulance chasers located downtown.

What else... get rid of billboards (ugly)... police the Worcester Common (get rid of riffraff) ... small parking lots so folks can go shopping (where?)... Cops shouldn't park on sidewalks (why?).

This one is a killer - make Chatham and High Streets two-way. Um...

I'm getting the sense that Philip M. Stone doesn't like the downtown population. Wait, he's got one redeeming suggestion: more public bathrooms (hopefully with showers for the riffraff).

All in the name of aesthetics, according to Philip M. Stone.

Welcome to Wusta!

PS. Think this guy oughta get the blogging fool award?
