Hide the cookie jar too. WCCA is at it again. That guy always has his hand out. Wonder what cable their reach is - how many subscribers actually look at WCCA. I'd bet under two thousand cable viewers looking in every month. Mauro once said WCCA reaches 50,000 viewers a month. That was 2 or 3 years ago. Wonder what Mauro now claims.
If their website is any indication of their reach. I think it is, monthly site visitors come in around 1k. May 2012 they had 1,032 visitors. All in all, for a city of circa 200,000. Not bad eh? In fact, it's pretty freaking bad.
What does Worcester actually get for the money. Nothing really. I may be mistaken but you (tax)payers of cable fees are gettin fleeced. Sadly WCCA isn’t forthcoming with any information about the business. They put nothing online, no no stats, no BOD minutes. No nuttin. Now that’s accountability.
Let’s see. They have cash of $923k. Lots of cash for a non-profit. And a building with a book value of $427k. Market is a lot higher. Revenue (misnomer) or cable fees of $732k.Salaries were 336k. Two folks accounted for 161k, or 48% of total salaries: manager Mauro and office manager (his wife) Tracy Depasquale. And it looks like Mauro got a hefty pay hike too; now pulling in $111k. For what?
Non-profits sure do pay good. And they do so little. In any case WCCA spent more money than they pulled in. Now that's fiscal responsible eh?
Oh, just in case you're wondering who runs the shop. Here's the BOD: Father Michael Bafaro, John Murzychi, Luz Toomey, Dianna Biancherria, Joan D'Argenis, Mauro Depasquale, Charles Derkazarian, Bill Capers, Bill Coleman (Yeah Bill!!!), Margret Manoogian, Carolyn Borrelli, Satya Mitra, Joe Patten, William Safer.
Welcome to Wusta!
