Trulia: Price Reductions Map - Worcester, MA

Very interesting interactive graphic from real estate website Trulia.com: Price Reductions Map. Click map.

Anyone notice the City Clerk's 10 room house on Salisbury St. has been on-and-off the market since April 2010?

Selling price started out at $695k and was reduced to $575k in November 2010 - New agent. New price point - he's been thru like 4 agents so far, each adjusting the price downwards. Oh, Dave snapped it up for a measly $370k in 2002.

Zillow has Rushford's property valued at $407k, eappraisal.com at $518k. The COW has it assessed at $557k, down 14% from 2008. Looks like the way the market is goin, ole Dave's gonna have to knock off a big chunk of the selling price.

Where ya think he's heading once he sells (if he ever does)? Further up Salisbury St. next to City Assessor Ford in his controversial $601k assessed abode. Maybe ya heard, wonder of all wonders Ford's assessment dropped a whopping 21% year-over-year. Never seen anything like that before. Or maybe Dave's heading up to Hickory Drive next to CM O'Brien? Heard stuff's cheap up that way. Or maybe over to Main South where Mayor Joe lives - among the people.

Anyone file an abatement this year? I filed - nothing yet. Wonder if those guys file for abatements like the pions?

We'll never know. Abatement forms are not a public record. How convenient.
