Repeal the New Deal

Make no mistake about it. The Republican Tea Party is determined to eliminate all the gains made by labor since the New Deal of FDR. I was told that at the recent Tea Party Rally in Sturbridge Democratic candidates were invited to attend. Were they welcome?

A Tea Party video produced by those in charge of the Rally fails to show the anti-Democratic signs that were quite prevalent. This was a Republican crowd without question. I took a few pictures at the Rally also. I offer it without further commentary except to say that I have placed some background music and a selection of a speech from Franklin D. Roosevelt. He too was dealing with tremendous unemployment, and he was dealing with opponents who wanted him to fail.

FDR saw the shrinking middle class in his day, and he was determined to stop it. I believe that we are at an equally critical point in our country today.

  1. Some of our own citizens want this president to fail! Don't they know or even care about what that means for those folks these "Patriots" claim to be protecting?

I have never been aware of a President working harder, or being as comfortably friendly to the common man as Barrack Obama. One would think that even those who disagree with him would acknowledge his work, and realize that this is a descent man.

So, what's with the Tea Party? They claim that they are not politically biased, not racists, and "welcome" Democrats to come to their rallies. (Yeah, I know.)

Why weren't they ranting about George W. Bush, whom many of them say was not a good leader? Why weren't they rallying against Bill Clinton, who surely was not their cup of tea. Are they allergic to a certain color? If they were so fired up and angry before and didn't have their little tea parties then, what is it that drove them into the frenzied tea parties they have today? Did something turn their dislike in other years to outright hatred today? Bush spent the money, so why are they so angry that the Democratic party is trying to fix things now? Um, let me guess...
